Barium Sulphate Precipitated
The precipitated barium sulfate is white amorphous powEPTwith relative density of four.50 (fifteen ordmC) and melting point of 1580 ordmC. Owing to its substantial refractive index (1.63-1.sixty five), it shows white color and has specific masking EPT. It is practically insoluble in drinking water, ethanol and acid, but soluble in sizzling sulfuric acid. It is easy to make blended crystal with potassium permanganate, calcium carbonate or metallic nitrate. It can be lowered to barium sulfide with carbon at higher temperature. It is an EPTant basic chemical raw content. Its major uses are as raw components or fillers for paints, coatings, inks, plastics, rubber and batteries area coating agent for printing paper and copper paper sizing agent for textile business clarifying agent for glass merchandise, which can perform the function of defoaming and growing luster. It can also be used as a protecting wall material for radiation protection, and also utilized in porcelain, enamel and dye EPT, as effectively as raw supplies for other barium salts.
